The call for Scholarship Applications Deadline is open through December 16!

The Academic Consortium on Criminal Justice Health is grateful to have the opportunity to offer scholarships to the 16th Academic and Health Policy Conference on Correctional Health. This year's conference will take place April 13 – 14 at the Raleigh Marriott Crabtree Valley in Raleigh, NC. We are pleased to announce that scholarships are available with funding from the Jacob and Valeria Langeloth Foundation.

Scholarships are available for students, early career investigators, community-based advocates or caregivers, and criminal-legal-based practitioners.  We welcome applications from individuals whose professional and volunteer work focuses on health issues facing justice-involved individuals such as citizens who are incarcerated, under supervision, or who have returned to the community.

  • Students: must be matriculated in a degree program and from any clinical, research, or policy discipline.
  • Early career investigators: fellows, post-docs, and early career faculty likely to pursue extramural research
  • Community Advocates or Caregivers: Community health workers, advocates, patient navigators, case managers, and other allied professionals or volunteers are encouraged to apply.
  • Criminal-legal practitioners: probation officers, programming professionals or clinicians in jails or prisons, correctional officers, sheriffs, prison officials, or court-based professionals working to improve conditions of confinement or reduce the likelihood of incarceration

All applications will be reviewed by two members of the ACCJH board of directors. Applicants who will be presenting at the conference have an advantage.
