The Academic Consortium on Criminal Justice Health is grateful to have the opportunity to offer scholarships to the 11th Academic and Health Policy Conference on Correctional Health. This year's conference will take place March 22nd & 23rd at the Omni Houston Hotel- Houston, TX. We are pleased to announce that scholarships are available to junior investigators with funding from the National Institute of Drug Abuse and the Langeloth Foundation. The Langeloth Foundation will also be funding student scholarships, and we are also excited to offer a new student scholarship opportunity, the Warren J. Ferguson Scholarship, which is funded in 2018 by Commonwealth Medicine.
We encourage junior investigators and students to submit a proposal to the Call for Papers. Please note that this is a competitive process with application reviews by two members of the ACCJH Board of Directors. Scoring will be based on strengths of: articulated experience and interest in the field; strength of written objectives for attending; quality of the applicant based on curriculum vitae; and whether the individual submits a proposal to present at the conference.
The Warren J. Ferguson Scholarship recognizes a student for contributions and commitment to the mission of the Academic Consortium on Criminal Justice Health- to improve health outcomes of justice involved populations. Interested applicants should submit an application below. The scholarship will be awarded based on the merits of the application and will fund the awardee to attend the conference. The awardee will receive special recognition during the opening ceremony of the conference. Apply this week!
Submission Deadline is Friday, October 20th AT 9 P.M. EST.
