Scholarship HQ: Students & Early Career Investigators
The Academic Consortium on Criminal Justice Health is pleased to open the application process for scholarships to the 14th Academic and Health Policy Conference on Correctional Health. With a generous grant from the Jacob and Valeria Langeloth Foundation, the Academic Consortium is pleased to offer 8 student and 8 early career investigator scholarships to this year's conference which will take place virtually Thursday, April 8th through Saturday, April 10th.
We always encourage early career investigators and students to submit a proposal to the Call for Papers. Please note that this is a competitive process with application reviews by two members of the ACCJH Board of Directors. Scoring will be based on strengths of: articulated experience and interest in the field; strength of written objectives for attending; quality of the applicant based on curriculum vitae; and whether the individual submits a proposal to present at the conference. Additionally, ACCJH is particularly interested in promoting workforce diversity and welcomes applications from students and early career investigators underrepresented in medicine and science.
The Warren J. Ferguson Scholarship recognizes a student for contributions and commitment to the mission of the Academic Consortium on Criminal Justice Health, to improve health outcomes of justice involved populations. Interested applicants should submit an application below. The scholarship will be awarded based on the merits of the application and will fund the awardee to attend the conference. The awardee will receive special recognition during the opening ceremony of the conference.
