About Me:
Dr. Meyer is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Public Health at Yale University and affiliated faculty at Yale Schools of Nursing and Law. As a clinician, she maintains board certifications in Internal Medicine, Infectious Diseases, and Addiction Medicine and sees patients living with HIV in a continuity clinic. As a researcher, her investigative agenda focuses on developing, testing, and implementing HIV prevention and treatment interventions for women involved in criminal justice systems, including addressing women’s reproductive health needs, substance use disorders, intimate partner violence exposure, and homelessness. She has been continuously funded for this work for nearly a decade, including from federal (NIMH, NIDA, SAMHSA), industry and foundational sources. Dr. Meyer’s clinical work and research are motivated by her experience working as an HIV care provider at the only women’s prison in Connecticut.
